Project Background:
With the rapid development of livestock exposed in Bangladesh, Livestock wastewater pollution are growing, the Livestock wastewater pollution control is imminent.Livestock wastewater has the characteristics of a typical "three highs", for example, in a cage rearing egg Livestock farm, the washing wastewater COD value is 43000-77000 mg · L - L, BOD is 17000 ~ 32000 mg · L - L, NH3 - N concentration is 2500 ~ 4000 mg · L - I. There is a high content of organic matter in aquaculture waste water, many suspended matter, and contain residues of veterinary drugs and feed residue and so on, it has the following several characteristic aspects:
(1) BOD5:CODcr≥0.5，has good biochemical quality；
(2) With much higher BOD、COD、NH3-N contents；
(3) There are many suspended matter；
(4) The wastewater with high content of jelly, and comes from biogas digester.
Livestock and poultry farms’ wastewater contains large amounts of suspended solids, organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus pollutants, the biochemical index is extremely high. If the high concentration organic wastewater of livestock and poultry directly discharged into rivers and lakes without treatment, it will cause deterioration of water quality, death of sensitive aquatic organism, etc.. At the same time, high concentrations of N, P in the livestock wastewater is also an important cause of eutrophication of water. Livestock and poultry farms produce large amount of faeces and waste water, which will directly threat and endanger the city environment, drinking water, agricultural ecological if they are directly discharged or piled up without effective treatment. So, the treatment of Livestock wastewater has become a important matter for the environmental pollution improvement.
